Introduction
For this edition, I have chosen game Barney. I took over Russia in 1905
when it was down to one center (Berlin). By all accounts a hopeless
position -- and, indeed, I lost. However, before losing I managed to
survive for almost 20 game years, visit eight supply centers, participate in
the elimination of three powers, and have a substantial impact on the
direction of the game throughout.
The next time someone says there is no play for a one-center power,
suggest a review of Barney's EOG.
